Common Causes and Symptoms

Elbow instability (SMILE ELBOW)
Symptomatic Minor Instability of the Lateral Elbow occurs due to
repeated or long-duration activities that load the outer side of the elbow, especially when the elbow is slightly bent and the forearm is turned inward. It can gradually stretch key supporting ligaments When these ligaments become loose, they provide less stability.
Signs and Symptoms
Loose feeling in elbow
Pain with movement
Reduced strength
Clicking sensations

Tennis & Golfers Elbow
These conditions typically result from repetitive arm movements during sports or work activities. Improper technique in racquet sports or golf can strain tendons. Occupational activities involving repeated wrist and arm motions, particularly with force, can lead to tendon inflammation and microscopic tears.
Signs and Symptoms
Pain on outer/inner elbow
Weak grip strength
Pain when lifting objects
Stiffness in elbow joint

Repetitive Strain Injuries(RSI)/ Tenosynovitis
Repetitive Strain Injuries (RSI) / Tenosynovitis occur due to overuse or repetitive movements of the wrist, hand, or forearm. They lead to irritation and inflammation of the tendons and their sheaths, causing pain, stiffness, and reduced mobility. Common in repetitive tasks, poor posture, or vibration-related activities.
Signs and Symptoms
- Pain and tenderness in the affected area
- Swelling and inflammation
- Stiffness, especially in the morning
- Difficulty moving the affected joint

Wrist Instabilities
Usually caused by traumatic injuries like falls or sports impacts that damage ligaments. Repetitive stress from activities requiring frequent wrist movement can gradually weaken supporting structures. Previous injuries without proper healing and genetic factors affecting ligament laxity increase susceptibility.
Signs and Symptoms
Clicking or popping sensation
Reduced grip strength
Pain with movement
Feeling of looseness
